LDLASER 80000W fiber laser cutting machine delivered - How about it?

On the afternoon of November 11, 2023, LDLASER held a grand delivery ceremony of an 80,000w laser cutting machine at Yangzhou Huiheng Metal Co., Ltd. The successful deployment of the world's first 80,000w laser cutting machine has significantly improved Huiheng's processing efficiency and provided the most realistic answer to the industry's debate on whether or not to adopt 80,000-watt lasers.

Why choose LDLASER 80,000-watt?

In 2017, Mr. Ge entered the laser cutting industry and established Yangzhou Huiheng Metal Co., Ltd. in 2018. During that time, the domestic laser cutting field was transitioning towards high power. At the beginning of his career, Mr. Ge purchased the highest power 8kW and 12kW laser cutting machines, becoming one of the earliest high-power users in China. As the business grew and the market changed, Mr. Ge gradually added a 20kW laser cutting machine, heavy-duty laser pipe cutting machine, and multiple hydraulic bending machines, expanding operations from material processing to end product manufacturing.

By 2023, high-power cutting machines had become quite common, and competition in the laser processing industry reached unprecedented levels. Faced with this situation, Mr. Ge, who understood the advantages of power, decided to upgrade the factory's equipment once again. According to him, Huiheng initially planned to introduce a 60,000-watt laser cutting device. However, most manufacturers at the time only had conceptual models of 60,000-watt machines that had not yet been launched on the market. The only stable and commercially available laser cutting machines operating at 50,000 watts and above were offered by LDLASER (50,000 watts in Wuxi and 60,000 watts in Qingdao). Therefore, Huiheng began negotiations with LDLASER and prepared to import the LDLASER 60,000-watt cutting machine.

The advantages of LDLASER's 80,000-watt laser cutting machine are as follows:

1. High Power and Speed: The 80,000-watt laser cutting machine demonstrates significant improvements in processing speed compared to lower power machines. For example, when processing 30mm carbon steel using air cutting, the cutting speed is increased by 27%, 75%, and 289% compared to the 60,000-watt, 40,000-watt, and 20,000-watt machines, respectively.

2. Increased Profitability: Despite the higher operating costs (mainly electricity consumption and consumable parts), the higher efficiency of the 80,000-watt machine helps offset these costs. This leads to a decrease in processing costs per meter, an increase in productivity within a specific time frame, and an overall increase in profitability.

3. Enhanced Configuration: In the increasingly competitive laser cutting machine market, LDLASER has not chosen to reduce configurations to cut costs like some other manufacturers. Instead, they have continued to increase the machine's configuration. According to Mr. Du Yong'an, the General Manager of LDLASER, the higher the power, the higher the requirements for the bed structure. LDLASER is committed to delivering stable and reliable equipment to customers by providing higher configurations that match the higher power requirements.

4. Stability and Intelligence: LDLASER has addressed customer concerns about the stability of the cutting head by collaborating with Baichu Electronics to develop a customized solution. The solution combines the Bocen system with the WaveBlade 80,000-watt intelligent laser head. This combination allows for real-time monitoring and feedback on environmental data such as air pressure, contamination of protective/focusing lenses, and core cavity temperature during the cutting process. It also features intelligent functions such as monitoring the cutting process, automatic back-cutting when a cut is incomplete, intelligent perforation, and intelligent tool retraction. The intelligent cutting head, equipped with twelve intelligent sensors, continuously monitors internal information, diagnoses problems rapidly, provides early warnings, and accurately locates faulty modules in the event of a failure. This greatly improves maintenance efficiency and reduces downtime for users.
